OFI’s victory in Agrinio had dual statistical significance for the Cretans.
Kenan Kontra’s goal in the 89th minute gave Christos Kontis’s team a 1-0 victory over Panetolikos and, at the same time, propelled the Greek coach even higher on the club’s all-time list.

Kontis has now reached 15 wins with OFI in the Super League, tying Nikos Nioplias for fifth place among the coaches with the most victories at the helm of the team. Ahead of him are Nikos Anastopoulos and Zdeněk Skázný with 16, while Giannis Samaras and Nikos Alefantis each have 18.
Kontra’s statistic is also noteworthy. The Bosnian forward has scored all of his goals for OFI away from Crete so far. In addition to the game-winning goal against Panetolikos, he scored in the victory over Olympiacos, as well as in the away losses to Aris (2-1) and Kalamata (4-3).
