The 43-year-old suspect, who has confessed to the crime and is being held in custody for the brutal murder of 61-year-old Olga Vasilieva in Limassol, was attacked by a fellow inmate.
According to reports, the 43-year-old was attacked on Sunday night in his cell by a fellow inmate, who assaulted him and struck him in the face.

The 43-year-old sustained minor injuries and suffered an abrasion to his head. It should be noted that he was taken to Limassol General Hospital and, after receiving first aid, was returned to the detention center.
