The Ministry of Justice and Public Order, in a related announcement, unequivocally condemns the unacceptable incidents that occurred on the public road network in Limassol and have come to light.

The statement refers to the unbelievable incident that occurred at a roundabout in Limassol during a wedding procession. As shown in a video that has been circulating online in recent hours, they blocked the roundabout by “blocking” the entrances to it in order to perform drifting maneuvers, while also setting off fireworks from the road.

“Public roads are not race tracks, nor can they be occupied or blocked arbitrarily for any reason. Behaviors that endanger human lives, obstruct traffic, and show contempt for the law will not be tolerated.”

According to the Ministry of Justice, the police have been instructed to investigate the incident immediately and thoroughly, to identify all those who may be involved, and, where offenses are found, to enforce the law with the utmost severity.

“No one is above the law, and no one has the right to turn public spaces into arenas for dangerous and illegal activities. Such incidents will be dealt with decisively. Our goal is for the law to be enforced without exceptions and without compromise.”
