Olympiacos BC issued a statement regarding the complaint filed with the sports judge against Margarita Thanos.
“She knowingly spread false and defamatory allegations against Olympiacos BC. Among other things, she claimed that Olympiacos BC is allegedly involved in a case under judicial investigation regarding the manipulation of basketball games and characterized as allegedly rigged the championships andwe won at the expense of PAO Basketball Club,” the Piraeus-based club points out.

“In response to misleading leaks by PAO BC to the media, Olympiacos BC informs its fans as follows:
OLYMPIACOS BC filed a complaint yesterday with the ESAKE Sports Judge against PAO BC and Margarita Thanos, a member of the Board of Directors of PAO Basketball Club, regarding the latter’s public defamatory statements made during a live broadcast on state television on October 31.
During her appearance on the program in question, M. Thanos knowingly disseminated false and defamatory allegations against Olympiacos BC. Among other things, she claimed that Olympiacos BC is allegedly involved in a case under judicial investigation regarding the manipulation of basketball games and characterized as allegedly rigged the championships andwe won at the expense of PAO Basketball Club.
The case will be heard tomorrow.”
