The slovenian made history once again

Luka Dončić continues to be in incredible form, putting on yet another spectacular performance and leading the Lakers to a 116-103 victory over the Kings.

The Slovenian superstar finished the game with 40 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists, while making six three-pointers and going 12-for-13 from the free-throw line.

This was his sixth consecutive game with at least 35 points, as Dončić extended a unique streak in NBA history.

Specifically, he has now recorded six consecutive games with at least 35 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 made three-pointers—a feat no other player has ever achieved.

His impressive start to the season is also reflected in another statistic. Dončić has played in eight of the Lakers’ first nine games and has already scored 308 points.

He thus became only the fourth player in history to surpass 300 points in the first eight games of a season and the first to do so since Michael Jordan, who had 303 points in the 1988–89 season.

The only player to have scored more points than Dončić in the first eight games of a season is Wilt Chamberlain, who surpassed that mark three times and reached 418 points during the 1962–63 season.

Austin Reaves also provided significant help for the Lakers with 21 points, as the Los Angeles team reached seven wins in its first nine games.

Dončić was also at the center of an unusual moment at the end of the third quarter. A fan forcefully threw the ball at referee Celisa Pader, prompting the Slovenian player to immediately point him out, and security to remove him from his seat.
