Giorgos Bartzokas expressed his enthusiasm for what he is seeing take shape at the SEF, which is currently under reconstruction, following his visit to the construction site yesterday alongside Panagiotis and Giorgos Angelopoulos. The Olympiacos coach emphasized that he’s counting down the days until the team takes the court at the renovated Faliro indoor arena.
“What I saw yesterday, and from the models I’ve seen, is simply amazing. I can’t wait—the arena will have one or two additional tiers below. And of course, technologically, it will be state-of-the-art. On top of the already beautiful existing structure, a dedicated basketball arena will be created, with excellent views from every angle, including suites… I’m really looking forward to playing there. I don’t know when it will happen, but I hope it’s as soon as possible. It’s more important than a single game; it’s just as important as winning a major title,” he said on the sidelines of media day.
