What do the magical world of Harry Potter, the thrilling adventures of Pirates of the Caribbean, the romance of La La Land, and the atmospheric melodies of Interstellar have in common? They all come together on the stage of “CINEMA IN CONCERT,” for an evening that promises to take the audience on a journey through cinema’s most beloved musical moments—this time for a special cause.
On Wednesday, November 18, 2026, at 8:00 p.m., the Pallas Cinema Theater in Nicosia will host “CINEMA IN CONCERT,” the musical production that has already made a big impression, selling out every previous performance. This year’s performance combines the magic of film music with a charitable cause, as all proceeds will go toward supporting the Simba Animal Aid Cyprus shelter.

On stage, seven musicians from the Orchestra Lumière breathe new life into iconic film scores, through original arrangements and a unique audiovisual approach that combines live music with interactive video art.
The musical journey takes us through the fantastical worlds of *The Lord of the Rings* and *The Hobbit*, the captivating scores of *Inception*, as well as beloved animated films that have touched the hearts of young and old alike, such as *Toy Story*, *Ratatouille*, *Up*, *WALL-E*, and *The Incredibles*.
The program also features the iconic melodies from Sherlock Holmes, *The King’s Speech*, and *Catch Me If You Can*, rounding out a rich musical collection that evokes memories and transports the audience to different eras and cinematic worlds.
With piano, flute, violin, cello, double bass, percussion, accordion, keyboards, and electronic sound effects, the musicians create a multidimensional experience of sound and image, highlighting music’s power to tell stories and bring emotions to life.
The artistic direction of the performance is by composer Kyriakos Kostas and pianist Marianna Georgiou, with orchestrations by Kyriakos Kostas and original interactive video art by Andreas Christoforou.
