A weak low-pressure system is currently affecting the region, while a weak high-pressure system is expected starting tomorrow. From tonight through Monday, the island will be influenced by a relatively cold air mass.

This afternoon, in most parts of the island, the weather will be mostly clear with temporarily increased cloud cover; however, in the mountains and in areas to the south, developing clouds are expected to bring isolated showers and isolated thunderstorms. Hail is possible during thunderstorms. Winds will be mainly northwesterly to northeasterly, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and at times along the western, northern, and eastern coasts, they may reach strong levels, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be generally slightly rough and will gradually become rough in the west, north, and east.

Tonight, the weather will be generally mostly clear. Winds will blow from the northwest to the northeast and gradually shift to mainly north to northeast, initially generally moderate, 4 Beaufort and, at times—especially along the coast—reaching strong, 5 Beaufort. By morning, however, along the northern and eastern coasts, winds will strengthen to strong to very strong, 5 to 6 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough to rough, and later in the north and east, rough. Temperatures will drop to around 10 degrees inland, around 12 degrees along the coast, and around 4 degrees in the higher mountainous areas, where frost is expected to form locally.

Tomorrow, in most parts of the island, the weather will be mostly clear with occasional increased cloud cover; however, in the mountains and in areas south of the Troodos Mountains, isolated rain may occur after noon. Winds will be mainly from the north to the northeast, generally moderate to strong and locally strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort, and initially along the northern and eastern coasts up to very strong, 6 Beaufort. In the west this afternoon, winds will temporarily blow from the southwest to the northwest, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be generally slightly rough to rough; however, along the northern and eastern coasts, it will be rough. Temperatures will reach around 21 degrees inland and along the coast, and around 10 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.

On Monday, the weather will be mostly clear, though there will be periods of increased local cloud cover. On Tuesday, the weather will remain mostly clear with temporary increased cloud cover; however, isolated showers may occur in the west and north in the evening.

On Wednesday, increased local cloud cover—which will be intermittent—is expected to bring isolated showers after noon, mainly in the mountains.

Temperatures on Monday are not expected to change significantly, remaining below seasonal averages; however, a gradual, slight rise is expected through Wednesday, bringing them close to and slightly below the seasonal climate averages.
