The case was reported to the police on November 3, 2026, by a 47-year-old relative of an 81-year-old woman, after suspicious transactions were detected on her bank card, which appear to have been made starting last August and continuing thereafter.

According to the evidence under investigation, the suspect is alleged to have sent, during the period in question, a sum exceeding 42,000 euros to a foreign country via money transfer companies.

The 34-year-old was arrested today pursuant to a court warrant, and during a search of her room, three cell phones, €620 in cash, and gold jewelry with a total value of €1,600, which were found to have been purchased using the bank card of her 81-year-old employer.
