Victor Wembanyama put on yet another impressive performance, leading the Spurs to a comfortable 125-103 victory over the Blazers.
The French star needed just 24:05 minutes of playing time to score 29 points, displaying absolute efficiency and making a difference on both ends of the court.
Wembanyama finished the game shooting 9-for-13 from the field, 3-for-6 from three-point range, and 8-for-9 from the free-throw line, while adding 7 rebounds, 3 assists, one steal, and one block.
His performance was enough to lay the groundwork for San Antonio’s victory early on, as he finished the game with a +23 plus/minus.
Devin Vassell added 15 points for the Spurs, while Stephon Castle and Julian Sampani each had 14, and Dylan Harper scored 13.
For Portland, Denny Avdija led the team in scoring with 15 points, Scoot Henderson had 13, while Damian Lillard and Young Hansen each scored 12, with the latter also recording the first double-double of his career with 10 rebounds.
With this win, the Spurs improved to 8-2, continuing their outstanding start to the season, with Wembanyama proving once again that he can dominate without even having to stay on the court for very long.
