Olympiacos wrapped up its preparations for tonight’s derby against PAOK at the “Georgios Karaiskakis” Stadium for Matchday 10 of the Stoiximan Super League.

Imanol Alguacil does not want to see any sign of complacency from his team and has asked the players to maintain the same intensity, mindset, and dedication they’ve shown recently.

The Basque coach appears satisfied with the way the entire squad is working, not just those who are regulars in the starting lineup. After all, he has shown that he relies on the entire roster and evaluates his players daily, making his selections based on the needs of each match.

In the final training session before the PAOK match, he wanted to keep everyone on their toes, emphasizing that what Olympiacos has achieved so far is no reason to become complacent.

“Through hard work, we’ve reached a satisfactory level. I’m pleased with the way you work, with your dedication and your mindset, whether you’re playing or not,” was Al-Ghathil’s message to his players.

The “Red-and-Whites’” coach placed particular emphasis on the demanding series of matches that had just concluded, urging his team to take one more step forward and not assume they’ve already achieved their goal.

“Let’s not stop now! We have one last game in this series,” was his characteristic exhortation ahead of tonight’s match.

Within Olympiacos, there is full awareness of the unique nature of the match against PAOK. Alguathil wants his players to approach the derby with the necessary intensity and focus, knowing how important it is both in terms of the standings and for the club and its fans.

“We all know what a derby is. These matches are special for everyone—for the team, for the club, and for the fans. We haven’t achieved anything yet,” was another of his remarks.
