A love of art, a stint at the Deputy Ministry of Culture, and an inadequate budget

We are launching a new series featuring artists with Yannis Toumazis, the man who served as the first Deputy Minister of Culture and now heads the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation.

We meet him at the location of his choosing—his office at the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation, surrounded by works of art.

He answers 10 questions, recalls how his love for art began, talks about difficult memories, the arts scene, and what he would change if he had a “magic wand,” he explains whether he would accept a new offer to become a minister and selects the next person from the arts community who will be invited for an “interview.”

A “chain” of artists featured in “Alpha on Sunday.”
