Norris Wins and Mercedes Takes the Constructors' Championship at the Brazilian Grand Prix!
The British McLaren driver was the first to cross the finish line at the Interlagos circuit and celebrate his third victory in this year’s Formula 1 championship, leaving the sensational Verstappen in second place, who put on a stunning performance despite starting 21st. Hajjar rounded out the podium for Red Bull’s 1-2-3 finish, while Mercedes was crowned the constructors’ champion, thanks to the fourth- and fifth-place finishes by its drivers, Russell and Antonelli.

The race began with Antonelli taking the lead from Norris in the very first few meters, while Hamilton and Verstappen gained 11 positions at the start, moving up to 9th and 11th place, respectively.
On lap 17, Russell got stuck in a traffic jam coming out of the pits and lost a lot of time, dropping to 10th place, while Antonelli and Norris continued to battle for the lead, with Hajar right behind them. On lap 20, Antonelli lost control of his car and Norris passed him, and shortly afterward, the champion spun out again, dropping to 4th behind Hajar and Verstappen.
Verstappen moved up to 2nd, though he was 10 seconds behind the leader, Norris, while on lap 50, the Briton pitted and emerged in 4th place, before reclaiming the lead as heavy rain began to fall.
As the drivers pitted to switch to intermediate rain tires, Norris remained in first place and ultimately crossed the finish line first, with Verstappen finishing second and Hajar completing the race in third place.
The next Grand Prix will take place in the U.S. in Las Vegas on November 22, followed by races in Qatar and Abu Dhabi, bringing this year’s Formula 1 championship to a close.
