The Israelis are putting Kieran Hayes on Olympiacos’s radar. According to Tomer Givati and his report on a local website, the Red-and-Whites are reportedly interested in signing him and are even ready to muscle in onhe is having with Maccabi.
Recently, the American star has reportedly been in talks with Maccabi Tel Aviv to make the leap to Europe, though some disagreements that have arisen in recent discussions could or capable of derailing the deal, which had seemed quite likely.
Givati claims that Olympiacos officials, who have entered the market to fill the void left by Montero, are concerned about the Hayes situation. He reports that the Piraeus club is reportedly considering exploiting these differences between the player and Maccabi to sign him.
As a reminder, it was announced yesterday that Montero will be sidelined for about six months, forcing Olympiacos to look for a replacement.
Last year, Hayes played in the G League with the Cavaliers’ affiliate team, averaging 22.4 points and 8.4 assists in 19 games.
