Omonia: Took advantage of the opportunity and made up for lost ground

He came close to the top

ALPHANEWSLIVE

Omonia played effectively, didn’t give away any… gifts on defense, and got the result they needed against AEL.

It essentially reminded us of the team Henning Berg wants to see—the one that won the championship with a “steel-hard” defensive line and a “cynical” offense.

Another positive is that all the teams in the top five dropped points, bringing the “Greens” to within two points of the top of the standings.

Attention now turns to the away match against Nijmegen as part of Matchday 4 of the Europa League Group Stage. The availability of Balkovec and Duvern, who left the game with injuries, remains uncertain at this time.
