Armani Milan is turning over a new leaf!
The Milanese club announced the end of its partnership with Italian coach Pepe Poeta, as a result of a very poor start to the EuroLeague season, with just one win in their first 10 games.
According to the Italian club, Marco Ramondino will take over his position until further notice, starting with Sunday’s (11/8) game against Trentino.
The full statement reads:
“Pallacanestro Olimpia Milano announces that it has relieved Peppe Poeta of his duties as head coach of the first team.
Olimpia and its owners wish to thank Peppe for the dedication, commitment, and enthusiasm he demonstrated in his work, first as an assistant coach and then as head coach, a role in which he won a Scudetto, an Italian Cup, and a Super Cup.
We extend our best wishes to Peppe for his personal and professional future
The team has been temporarily entrusted to coach Marco Ramondino, who will lead the team in Sunday’s match.”
