From the “glory” of Serie A, to uncertainty, then back in the spotlight in Cyprus, and now the reward!
This is the trajectory of Zanos Savva’s career so far. In 2022, he went to Italy to live the dream—and he did, since on his debut with Torino he found the back of the net and made his presence felt at the top level.
However, what followed was not what he had expected, as an injury and some medical errors sidelined him for 18 months.
Zanos returned to the island to once again don the jersey of the team that launched his career, Olympiacos. But it wasn’t just any return, as right off the bat, the 20-year-old forward made a splash in the Cypriot league and drew everyone’s attention.
One of those watching was our national team coach, Akis Mantzios, who recognized his talent and called him up to the Men’s National Team for the first time in his career.
Zano’s hard work has paid off, and the future looks even brighter for him—always through hard work and keeping his head down…
