A bombshell report has emerged from Turkey, implicating OFI. According to journalist Oguz Oruc, the Cretans are monitoring developments surrounding the case of João Mário.
Specifically, OFI is evaluating the Portuguese attacking midfielder, while waiting to see if he will become a free agent so they can make him an offer, as they do not wish to pay Besiktas a transfer fee for him.
João Mário belongs to the Turkish club but is not in their plans, and last season he played on loan at AEK, scoring the goal that clinched the championship for the “yellow-and-blacks” in their match against Panathinaikos.
In fact, it’s a possibility that he could come back onto AEK’s radar this summer…
Greek Super League club OFI Crete is interested in Joao Mario.
