He’s also known as the “Trophy Man” because he has won every available title he could with Málaga, except for the Liga Endesa. Oleg Balcerowski is a key player for the Spanish team, and domestic media reports indicate strong interest from Barcelona.
More specifically, as reported by the Andalusian newspaper “Sur” and republished by “AS,” negotiations are at a very advanced stage and are even expected to be finalized soon!
The 25-year-old, who stands 2.16 meters tall, is expected to be Barcelona’s sixth signing this summer. Balcerowski made his Liga Endesa debut with Gran Canaria, where he played for six seasons. From the island, he moved to Athens to play for Panathinaikos, even helping the team win the 2024 EuroLeague in Berlin.
However, he failed to earn the trust of Ergin Ataman, and last summer he moved to Málaga to play for Unicaja, with whom he extended his contract through 2028 and is currently the highest-paid player on the roster.
With the official announcement of Alexander Sekulic’s signing still pending, the “Blaugrana” have already officially announced the signings of Finnish power forward Olivier Enkamoua and American point guard Justin Robinson.
They were followed by Josh Nibo, American point guard Gibson, and Italian-Uruguayan forward Agustín Umbal.
