The Customs Department discovered bottles containing cannabidiol (CBD) and counterfeit goods in a shipping container from Greece.

According to a statement from the Department, on July 15, officials conducted a random inspection of a consolidated EU maritime shipment in a container originating from Greece, at a freight forwarding company’s warehouse in Limassol.

During the physical inspection of the consolidated shipment, 6 bottles of a liquid containing the substance cannabidiol (CBD), as well as 119 items of various types and brands, which, at first glance, appear to infringe on intellectual property rights.

The cases are being investigated by the Limassol Customs Investigations Division.
