Temperatures are expected to drop gradually by 3 to 4 degrees by Tuesday, while there is a slight chance of local showers in mountainous areas over the next few days.
As Meteorologist Andreas Chrysanthou told the Cyprus News Agency (CNA), there is a slight chance of rain today in mountainous areas, as well as tomorrow and on Monday. Any rain is expected to result from local cloud cover and will not be significant.
In most parts of the island, the weather will remain mostly clear, with passing clouds. During the morning hours, increased humidity, low clouds, and patchy fog are expected.
Mr. Chrysanthou noted that today’s temperature is expected to reach approximately 38 degrees inland, 32 to 34 degrees along the coast, and 28 to 29 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.
Tomorrow and Sunday, temperatures will remain roughly at today’s levels, followed by a gradual drop. By Tuesday, temperatures are expected to drop by 3 to 4 degrees, bringing them close to normal seasonal levels.
However, no significant rainfall is forecast for the next three to four days. Instead, according to the meteorologist, the main features of the coming days will be increased morning humidity and low clouds, as well as localized fog.
The fog is expected to be most noticeable in eastern regions, particularly in the districts of Larnaca and Famagusta, but also inland.
