Today is a special day for AEL, as the Limassol club celebrates the 96th anniversary of its founding.
To mark this significant anniversary, the “blue-and-yellows” sent their own message to the team’s fans, highlighting the enduring significance and the special bond that has been forged over the years.

At the same time, through their post, they expressed their hope for even more successes in the future.
The full announcement reads as follows
“Today we celebrate our history. The moments, the successes, the challenges, the battles, and everything that has shaped who we are today. We celebrate our colors. Our emblem. Our pride. Above all, however, we celebrate our people. All those who have worn and honored this jersey, those who have served the Club, and every AEL fan who has stood—and continues to stand—by our side, in the good times and the bad.
AEL is not just a team.
It is history. It is Limassol. It is family.
It is an idea passed down from generation to generation.
We move forward together with respect for the past, faith in the present, and dreams for the future.
Proud of our history.
Proud to be part of today.
And we look forward to everything that’s to come.
Happy birthday to our AEL!”
