On Monday evening (10/26), the winner of the top individual award, the “Golden Ball,” will be announced at the London Palladium in London.
For the first time in many years, the ceremony will not take place in Paris, and the English capital will host the spectacular event.
This year’s race is perhaps the most closely contested in recent years, as there is no clear favorite, and the results of *France Football*’s vote have not been leaked anywhere so far.
Harry Kane, Lamine Yamal, and Kylian Mbappé appear to be the three frontrunners to be named the top soccer player of 2026. According to Polymarket, the English forward for Bayern Munich is the favorite, with a 68% chance of winning the award, with the Barcelona star following at 23% and the 27-year-old Real Madrid forward rounding out the top three at 9%.
