The official account for the award announced the list of ten finalists for the 2026 Ballon d'Or, with some of the biggest names in world soccer vying for the award.
At the club level, Paris Saint-Germain has three representatives: Ousmane Dembélé, Kvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Fabián Ruiz. Next are Bayern Munich, with Harry Kane and Michael Olise, and Barcelona, with Lamine Yamal and Rodri, each with two finalists.
Finally, Manchester City (Erling Haaland), Real Madrid (Kylian Mbappé), and Inter Miami (Lionel Messi) each have one nominee.
In terms of nationalities, France has three representatives—Dembélé, Mbappé, and Olise—as does Spain with Yamal, Ruiz, and Rodri. Norway, England, Georgia, and Argentina each have one finalist.
Of particular interest, however, is the absence of any Arsenal player among the ten finalists, even though the “Gunners” won the league title and reached the Champions League final, according to the data you wish to highlight in the article. Declan Rice achieved the highest ranking (15th).
