"The government views Cypriot businesses and the Chambers of Commerce as partners in the effort to advance our country across all areas of strength," Government Spokesperson Mr. Konstantinos Letympiotis said tonight.
Speaking to reporters as he arrived at the Annual General Assembly of the Paphos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Pafos CCI), the Spokesperson stated that “it is with great pleasure and honor that I am here today, representing, of course, the President of the Republic, at the Annual General Assembly of the Paphos CCI, and it would not be an exaggeration to note that what we have achieved over the past 3.5 years, since the President of the Republic assumed office, is also thanks to the decisive contribution of institutional partners, which naturally include the Chambers of Commerce.”

Mr. Letympiotis added that “the upward trajectory of the Cypriot economy, the reduction in public debt, and the fact that our country ranks among the top two the fastest-growing economies in the EU for three consecutive years, is due to the policies promoted by the Government, as well as to private initiatives.
It is for this reason that we view Cypriot businesses and chambers of commerce as partners, as co-creators in this effort to advance our country across all areas of strength.
I would like to extend my special thanks to the leadership and the Board of Directors of the Paphos Chamber of Commerce because, over the past 3.5 years—and I am certain this will continue at an even more intensive pace—— have contributed, through their very specific and well-researched positions, initiatives, and views, to the shaping of all the projects that have been promoted and to the strengthening and safeguarding of the Cypriot economy.”
