Aris struggled for three quarters, but with clutch baskets from Vasilis Toliopoulos (10 pts.) and Matt Morgan (18 pts.) in the final quarter, they maintained their undefeated record in Europe and are now turning their attention to Sunday’s derby against Panathinaikos for the league title at the same arena. Robinson-Earl also played very well with 13 points and 11 rebounds; Lidel and Mokoka each scored 11 points, while Dimitrievic had 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. Next week in the EuroCup, they face Hapoel Jerusalem in a top-of-the-table showdown.
Matthew Hart (19 pts.) and… longtime friend Anthony Cowan (14 pts.) weren’t enough to secure the Slovenians’ first win (0-5), who were without their coach, Zvezdan Mitrovic, on the bench due to a… sprain.
