The 24-year-old goalkeeper has been impressing with his consistently strong performances for Brighton, and Spanish media report that the “King” is closely monitoring his progress while seriously considering a move to sign him.

According to these reports, the fact that Courtois is expected to extend his contract with Real Madrid for another year, through the summer of 2028, helps the Madrid club in that they do not need to rush in the case of the Dutch goalkeeper, while Mourinho’s squad also includes Lunin.
Verbruggen joined Brighton in 2023, when he was signed from Anderlecht for 20 million euros, and he is under contract through 2028, with a market value estimated at 40 million euros.
