Authorities are investigating a serious allegation that an 11-year-old girl was beaten by her peers at an elementary school in Nicosia.
According to a police statement, the incident occurred today, November 3, and according to the complaint filed by the parents with the police, the 11-year-old was attacked by four classmates, also aged 11.

The student was taken to the hospital, where she underwent medical examinations and was discharged.
It should be noted that, under the law, since the alleged perpetrators are under 14 years of age, they are not criminally liable.
The police are notifying the Ministry of Education and Social Welfare Services to handle the incident.
