We have to make a living, and all I’m asking is to work,” she said before she began exploiting her child in the most sickening and brutal way. The 52-year-old was charged with the production, distribution, offering, sale, supply, and possession of child pornography involving a minor.
The Revelation
The case came to light earlier this year when a member of the public found the woman’s cell phone, which she had lost in the Palaios neighborhood. While attempting to unlock it to see who it belonged to, he reportedly came across photographs containing child pornography and immediately turned it over to the Hellenic Police.
Subsequently, after police officers identified the device’s owner, a warrant was issued by the Volos Misdemeanor Court, and a search was conducted; nine photographs depicting the sexual abuse of her underage daughter were found on the device.
Greek Police officers raided her home in the presence of a judicial officer, where they found another cell phone containing similar photographs, stored on a cloud server.
The “loving mother” was charged with sexual acts with a minor under the age of 12, as well as with sexual acts between blood relatives, both ascending and descending lines. All of the acts are alleged to have been committed on a continuous basis.
She also produced and possessed at least 17 photographs of a sexual nature, in which she and the child appear, though their faces are not visible in all of them. It should be noted that the minor has returned to the orphanage and did not testify at the trial.
