A fatal traffic accident involving a wild animal occurred on Thursday evening (November 5, 2026) in the Lamia area, in which a man lost his life on the road, causing shock and grief in the local community.
According to a report by LamiaReport, the accident occurred on the Thermopylae bypass, about 300 meters before the Bralos interchange, when a passenger car collided at high speed with a large wild boar that suddenly appeared on the road.

The collision was particularly violent, causing the driver to be thrown from the vehicle and land several meters away, fatally injured.
The unfortunate driver was discovered some time later by a passing motorist, who saw the wrecked car on the side of the road, stopped to see what had happened, and immediately alerted the authorities via 112.
An EKAB ambulance rushed to the scene, but it was already too late for the unfortunate man, as he had succumbed to his injuries.
