Donald Trump announced today that he has nominated Dana White, a close associate of the Republican president and head of the UFC, the world’s largest mixed martial arts (MMA) organization.
The U.S. president made the announcement on his Truth Social platform, clarifying that White had not yet accepted the offer. “Dana, please take the job,” he wrote.
This strategically important position has been vacant since the October 16 dismissal of White House press secretary Katie Zakaria, who was fired less than a week after her appointment.
