After months of enforcing the naval blockade of Iran, the U.S. armed forces are forming a special task force to bolster Washington’s efforts to restrict the movement of Tehran’s advanced weapons systems, as well as other sanctioned materials, along Iran’s land borders and in the Caspian Sea.
The announcement regarding the task force, which had not been made public previously, is expected to be released later today by U.S. Central Command (US Central Command), according to a statement reviewed by Reuters before its release.
