Wedding drift in Aglantzia: New video of a wedding procession performing dangerous maneuvers in the middle of the avenue

Residents of lakatamia are at their wits' end; the drifting vehicle in linopetra has "vanished"

Cyprus’s roads have become drag racing tracks. In Linopetra, Limassol… and in Archangelos, Nicosia.

The situation in Lakatamia is out of control due to all-night drifting involving alcohol, drugs, and street racing. Residents, now at their wits’ end, are lashing out at the police.

“It’s unacceptable that we—myself included, along with the residents—call the police, and they show up with their sirens blaring, only for the trouble to clear up by the time they arrive, and then for them to come back half an hour later. If some brainless people keep this up, our quality of life will go down the drain.”
Fotoula Hatzipapa – Mayor of Lakatamia

The first light of day reveals the evidence of the nighttime rampage in the area. The skid marks on the road are clearly visible.

They’re hiding it

Meanwhile, the race car that took center stage in the wedding drift at the Linopetra roundabout remains missing. The police are not convinced that the stripped-down car, which was turned over to the Limassol Traffic Police by the groom and best man—who are currently in custody—is the one shown in the video.

“From the very beginning, we were not convinced, and investigations are underway to locate the vehicle. They likely want to conceal the actual vehicle because of the consequences they will face.”
Marios Charalambous – Limassol Traffic Police Chief

At the same time, a new video showing another wedding-themed drift—a trend that’s becoming increasingly popular—has surfaced, this time from a road near the university campus in Aglantzia.
