From “A-” to "A," maintaining a stable outlook for the economy, which had previously been positive.
The government has expressed satisfaction with the new upgrade, with the President of the Republic noting in a post that “this is yet another strong confirmation of the resilience of the Cypriot economy, fiscal responsibility, and our country’s steady progress.”
“A stronger economy means more and better-paying jobs, more investment, and new opportunities. It means greater scope for targeted social policies and investments in health, education, the welfare state, and housing. “It means higher incomes, better services, and meaningful support for citizens. Above all, it means we are building a more secure foundation for future generations,” adds Nikos Christodoulides.

Meanwhile, in a written statement, Finance Minister Makis Keravnos expressed satisfaction with the development, noting that it follows a series of consecutive upgrades and reflects the confidence of international rating agencies in the Cypriot economy.
He attributes the upgrade to the government’s prudent fiscal policy, which, he says, ensures stability and creates the conditions for sustainable growth, while maintaining room to support households and businesses and address unforeseen circumstances.
