Without fanfare, handshakes, or a large crowd, Giorgos Pamporidis arrived at the Democratic Alarm Headquarters to submit his candidacy for the party’s “nomination” for the 2028 Presidential Election.
Accompanied only by his wife, Galatea Pamporidis, he paid the €500 filing fee by check and signed the relevant form, which was stamped by the Election Commission.

In his remarks inside the hall, he expressed confidence that the Democratic Alarm mechanism would ensure the integrity of the process and described today a day of celebration for democracy.
At the same time, he welcomed and endorsed the statement made earlier by Averof Neophytou, stating that the day after the party primaries, everyone would stand united behind the candidate chosen by the thousands of DISY members.
