The matches on the first day of the 4th matchday of the Champions League group stage have concluded.
Paris Saint-Germain, in fierce form, put on a show with an impressive 6-0 victory at Villarreal’s home stadium!
The back-to-back European champions put on yet another soccer spectacle, completely dominating the “Madrigal” and putting on a display of power against the helpless hosts, who were unable to mount a response, to triumph 6-0 and make it four wins out of four in the Champions League group stage!
Dominating from the opening minutes, the Parisians opened the scoring in the 9th minute following a corner kick and a close-range finish by João Neves, and just three minutes later, they found the back of the net again, with Doué scoring after a misplaced pass by the home team’s goalkeeper.
Seconds later, Mayulu made it 0-3, while in the 17th minute, Ruiz made it 0-4, with Paris making history by recording the fastest four-goal run in Champions League history. Having sealed the victory in the first half, Paris managed the game in the second half, scoring two more goals, again by Ruiz in the 50th minute and by Boly in the 78th, to ultimately secure a commanding 0-6 victory!
Inter also celebrated a very comfortable victory, defeating Feyenoord 3-0 in Rotterdam and securing their second consecutive win in the competition! The “Nerazzurri” took the lead as early as the 8th minute of the match with a superb shot by Biseć, and scored their second goal in the 34th minute, following a quick counterattack and a header by Esposito. The score became 0-3 in the 54th minute with a powerful shot by Zielinski, while Kivu’s team also had a goal disallowed via VAR due to a very close offside call on Esposito.
It was also a triumph for LASK, which, following its big win over Sporting, triumphed 4-0 in its home match against Slovan Bratislava, while also missing chances to make the victory even more impressive! Jorgensen was the one who put the Austrian champions ahead in the 10th minute and scored again in the 37th minute to make it 2-0, while Ljubicic made it 3-0 in the 44th minute, before Adeniran came on to set the final score at 4-0 in the 48th minute.
Finally, Bodø/Glimt and Lille didn’t create many scoring chances and ultimately settled for a 0-0 draw, with the Norwegians moving up to 4 points and the French picking up their first point, while remaining near the bottom of the standings.
