Partizan dominated for most of the game and celebrated a comfortable 88-67 victory over Maccabi Tel Aviv in Belgrade, in the 10th round of the EuroLeague. The Serbs took advantage of their home court, found their offensive rhythm, and laid the groundwork for their victory with an outstanding second quarter.
The home team came out strong and closed out the first quarter with a 28-23 lead. They then significantly ramped up their defensive intensity, limiting the offensive options of Oded Katash’s team, and with a 22-12 run in the second quarter, they headed into halftime with a 50-35 lead.
The picture didn’t change much in the second half either. Partizan maintained control, comfortably managed the lead, and did not allow Maccabi to get back into the game, ultimately winning by 21 points (88-67).
Ethan Thompson led the winners in scoring with 16 points, while Lamar Stevens added 14 and Antonio Reeves 13. For Maccabi, Daniel Theis finished the game with 11 points.
