Kevin Durant expressed his desire to compete in the Olympic Games for the fifth time, aiming for his fifth gold medal with Team USA.
“If my game continues to be at this level and I feel good, I want to compete again. The Games are being held in our home country—it’ll be incredible,” said the 38-year-old Rockets superstar, who remains in top form, averaging 20.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3 assists this season.
“It’s fun, it’s wonderful. You travel all over the world; in previous tournaments, we had the chance to visit Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Paris, London, Madrid, and the Canary Islands. My approach to these trips has changed—it’s about life, not just basketball,” he told The Athletic.
KD has five gold medals with Team USA, from the Olympic Games in London (2012), Rio de Janeiro (2016), Tokyo (2021), and Paris (2024), and he also won the gold medal at the 2010 World Cup.
