Frosinone scored six goals. The newly promoted team routed Lecce 5-1 at home in the ninth round of Serie A and moved into sixth place in the standings, three points ahead of seventh-place Napoli, leaving the visitors four points above the relegation zone.
Fiorentina remained in that position after drawing 2-2 with Atalanta at the “Artemio Franchi” and now sits two points behind Monza and the safety zone, while the “Bergamaschi” remain six points behind the European spots in a match full of twists and turns.
