Spalletti’s seat at Juventus is “shaky”—Who are the likely replacements?

In a difficult position

Juventus is 11 points behind first place and Inter, with Lazio, after nine matches in Serie A! The “Old Lady” put in a disappointing performance and suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of Genoa at the “Luigi Ferraris” Stadium.

Juventus was all over the place, and as a result, they were already playing catch-up by the 12th minute. From a cross by Baldanzi, Ejimbuwe scored with a shot to make it 1-0 for Genoa. Before the half-hour mark, they conceded a second goal. Baldanzi took a shot inside the box; the ball deflected and found its way into Vicario’s net for a 2-0 lead.

As expected, this led to… grumbling in the Turin team’s camp, with the “Bianconeri” management reportedly already searching for Spalletti’s replacement, with two available coaches appearing to be the frontrunners.

More specifically, according to “La Stampa,” Spalletti’s Juventus bears no resemblance to the Juventus we know, with club officials having shortlisted two names in order to restore the “Old Lady” to its former glory.

They are Antonio Conte and Didier Deschamps, both former “Bianconeri” players, while the Italian served as head coach from 2011 to 2014. Both coaches left their respective posts—Napoli and the French national team—this summer, in fact, Conte has already been linked to the Manchester United bench, though nothing has come of it.

Meanwhile, the Italian newspaper reports that a potential loss to Napoli and Fiorentina in the league would… trigger developments involving Spalletti, who does not seem to be giving up, emphasizing that: “He is still the right man for the job.”
