The EuroLeague’s plans for next season appear to include significant changes, with PAOK, according to “Sportklub,” at the center of a particularly interesting scenario.
Specifically, as reported by the Serbian publication, PAOK is among the four teams selected for the new permanent participation format, along with Dubai BC, Paris, and Valencia.
The same report mentions significant financial requirements, while describing Partizan’s future in the competition as uncertain.
Notably, the Serbian media report:
“It has already been decided that the new teams to become EuroLeague franchises will be Dubai, Paris, Valencia, and PAOK. These teams are prepared to spend a lot of money in the near future to secure their permanent participation in the competition, with Partizan’s name being mentioned less and less in related discussions.
The amount Partizan needs to pay totals 50 million euros. It will not have to pay the entire amount immediately; however, the first installment must be paid this fall and will amount to 12.5 million euros.”
