Real Madrid has not made—nor does it intend to make—an offer for Enzo Fernández, as the Madrid-based club makes clear in its statement. This puts an end to speculation that they would make a move for the Argentine midfielder by offering Chelsea a sum approaching or exceeding 100 million euros.
“In light of the reports and statements that have appeared in recent days regarding Real Madrid’s alleged interest in the player Enzo Fernández, the club wishes to state that it has made no effort, either directly or indirectly, to sign the aforementioned player and, furthermore, it has no intention of proceeding with such a transfer.
Real Madrid wishes to express its utmost respect for Enzo Fernández, a great soccer player whose career and talent are widely recognized, as well as toward Chelsea, a club with which it maintains an excellent institutional relationship.
Precisely out of respect for an organization such as Chelsea and in keeping with the principles of institutional loyalty that have always guided Real Madrid’s actions, the club considers it necessary to categorically deny these baseless speculations, which are completely untrue.
Real Madrid regrets that, despite the clarity of the facts and the lack of any action on the part of the club, information continues to be circulated that does not correspond to reality and that only serves to create confusion among fans and cause unnecessary harm to the entities and individuals involved.”
