Rudy Galetti explained in a post on X why Insigne’s transfer to Heraklis ultimately fell through.

As he noted in the post, Insigne had been in negotiations with the Greek club, but these talks did not result in an agreement because the two sides were unable to reach a financial understanding.

“… Heraklis was in talks with the Italian forward, who wanted to work with Mazzarri again. However, financial differences regarding his salary led Insigne to accept Sampdoria’s offer,” he said.
