An impressive left winger who even faced the Greek national team in a recent friendly match, and who also made two appearances for the Swedish national team at this year’s World Cup, is set to join PAOK!
We’re talking about Taha Ali, who is reportedly just a breath away from joining the “Double-Headed Eagle of the North,” as the Greek club is said to have secured Malmö’s “yes” to the “expected,” as the Swedes themselves emphasize, move to a bigger league.
Ali is expected to make his final appearance in front of the Malmö crowd on Sunday in the match against Göteborg, though his presence on the field is not certain, given that a transfer deal is in place.
At this year’s World Cup, and before the Swedes were eliminated from the tournament, Ali played in the matches against France and the Netherlands, while in early June he… ran rings around the Greek national team in the friendly held at the “Strawberry Arena.”
His contract with Malmö expires in December 2026, and his team realized that it was the ideal time to give the “go-ahead” and secure a transfer fee.
