It makes sense that the other Premier League teams would also be affected by the highly publicized Manchester City case. And not because of the extreme scenario of… stripping them of their titles and awarding them to the “aggrieved” teams.
But rather because of the club coffers—they feel they lost a lot of money due to the way the “Citizens” consistently achieved triumph and won the title.
As reported by The Times, Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Tottenham have been assessing since 2024 what grounds they might have to claim compensation and take legal action, once the time comes for decisions to be made regarding the Manchester club’s case.
The clubs’ compensation could reach up to 100 million pounds, either for lost Champions League revenue due to their final standings in the league each year, or other lost profits.
