Progress is being made on the new “G. Karaiskakis” stadium, as indicated by a meeting between Vangelis Marinakis and Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
According to a government statement, a meeting was held, chaired by the prime minister and attended by the president of Olympiacos FC, along with his associates and the Mayor of Piraeus, Yiannis Moralis.
Also participating in the meeting on behalf of the government were the Minister of Environment and Energy, Stavros Papastavrou; the Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister, Giorgos Mylonakis; Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister and Government Spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis, and the Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff, Stelios Koutnatzis.
At this meeting, the “red-and-white” soccer club presented its proposal for the modernization and upgrading of Olympiacos’ home stadium.
According to the government, “the necessary legislative initiatives will be set in motion to facilitate a major private investment.”
