They may have struggled in the final ten minutes, but Bayern Munich prevailed 3-1 on the road against Freiburg in the 7th matchday of the Bundesliga, securing three crucial points.

The Bavarians came out strong and managed to take the lead in the 16th minute. Upamecano capitalized on a set piece and sent the ball into the net, making it 0-1 for Vincent Kompany’s team, who was absent due to the health issue that has been plaguing him.

Bayern continued to control the game and, shortly before halftime, extended their lead even further. In the 42nd minute, Gnabry found the back of the net to make it 0-2, laying the groundwork for Bayern’s victory.

In the second half, Freiburg tried to fight back and increased the pressure, looking for a goal that would put them back in contention. Their efforts paid off in the 82nd minute, when Bischof inadvertently sent the ball into his own net, narrowing the score to 1-2.

In fact, Panathinaikos’ opponent in the final match of the Conference League pressed hard in the closing minutes to equalize, with Urbach making a spectacular save on a header by Ginter in stoppage time, before Olise tapped the ball into an empty net to set the final score.

With this victory, the Bavarians reached 17 points and remained at the top of the Bundesliga, alongside Dortmund, continuing their unbeaten run with a record of five wins and two draws. On the other hand, Freiburg remained on 13 points and in third place, suffering their second consecutive league defeat following their 2-1 loss to Leverkusen.
