APOEL will face Omonia (Nov. 21, 5:00 p.m.) in this season’s first “eternal” derby without its fans.
The “blue-and-yellows” were penalized with a fan travel ban by the Disciplinary Committee after supporters stormed the field in the second minute of their match against Paphos.
According to the disciplinary regulations of the Cyprus Football Association (CFA), this penalty is subject to appeal, with no right to waive the appeal.
This means that the penalty is suspended for eight days and will not apply to the match against Omonia Aradippou at “Stelios Kyriakides Stadium,” but will take effect after the international break.
Thus, APOEL will play as the nominal visiting team at GSP Stadium against the “Greens,” with their… 12th man absent.
