AEK has put its defeat to PAOK in the Greek Cup behind it and has turned its attention to the big derby against Panathinaikos at the OAKA. Marko Nikolić will have at his disposal players who got some rest against the “black-and-whites” and, barring any unforeseen circumstances, will start the game.
Moukoudi, Vitalis, and Koita, who were left out of the squad, are expected to play a key role, providing more options both on defense and offense, while Brignoli and Varga—who sat on the bench during the Toumba derby and did not play—will also take their places in the starting lineup.
The Serbian coach has pointed out to his players the mistakes made against PAOK, and AEK is now called upon to bounce back amid a grueling schedule of consecutive, high-stakes matches.
As a reminder, following the match at OAKA against PAOK, AEK will host Real Madrid in Nea Filadelfia (November 4, 7:45 p.m.) for Matchday 4 of the Champions League group stage.
