Bologna secured another victory in the 10th round of Serie A and may have become yet another “victim” of the spectacular Gustavo Varela, who now has 9 goals in 9 league appearances for Monza, but once again found himself on the losing side.
Paladino’s team, after conceding a goal on a penalty kick in the 6th minute, found a way to stage a comeback, equalizing with a spectacular one-touch finish by Pompega in the 33rd minute, and Bernardeschi scored from the penalty spot in the 59th minute to make it 2-1.
Skorupski, when called upon, kept the “Rossoblu” in the game by stopping Cutrone’s penalty kick in the 81st minute to preserve the lead and secure all three points for Bologna.
